Michael Roofian

Michael’s proven experience in the legal field has led to him advocating for a variety of clients in the following legal matters: personal injury actions, injuries resulting from automobile or industrial accidents and protecting individuals and businesses against fraud or breach of contract. Since 1991, he has been the proud owner and managing attorney for the Los Angeles and San Diego offices of Michael Roofian and Associates, APC. 

Leading up to this career legacy, he studied and practiced in the area of science, more specifically in its technological applications. As he attended college, he chose to study computer engineering at the University of California, later attending the University of Southern California in pursuit of his Master’s degree in computer architecture design. During his academic career, Michael tutored many students and assisted teachers in the areas of college physics and calculus. He also began a six-year career at the Los Angeles Scientific Center as an engineering student entrusted with various projects, including computer-aided design and manufacturing and mathematic modeling of highly complex surfaces.

Michael Roofian then made a career shift, deciding to pursue law school. As evidenced by his 30 years in the industry, this departure from the computer engineering profession ended up being a successful move on his end. Although he still holds a profound passion for science, he has since been able to impact multiple lives and serve a purpose higher than himself in his career as a lawyer. 

In his first few positions in the legal profession, Michael worked as a law clerk, interned for Honorable Edward Rafeedie and worked as an associate attorney in legal matters such as banking and corporate matter and government agencies contracts and bonds involving infrastructure projects. Since making the switch to being a personal injury lawyer, he has felt inspired by the clients he has served and has played a role in inspiring them to follow their dreams once again.

Through his legal practice, Michael Roofian has learned some of the mechanisms that help disabled individuals cope with their disabilities. He has also worked with numerous disabled veterans returning from their time of service in Iraq and Afghanistan. Seeing their lives be transformed forever by debilitating injuries and mental health matters, Michael has contributed to their healing journeys and inspired them to believe in their goals once more.

With Los Angeles being home to a large homeless population, Michael has met many individuals that he has since become a mentor to, helping various young people regain their focus in life after having previously been victim to drug and alcohol abuse. Having grown a passion for serving this young population, Michael Roofian now volunteers some of his time to charities that work with poor and/or disabled children in Los Angeles.
